What Kind of Romance Books Are Included?
We focus on contemporary romance, with a mix of tropes—friends-to-lovers, small town, sports romance, age gap, and more.
Are the Books Special Editions?
Sometimes! We feature standard paperbacks, exclusive covers, or limited-edition extras like artwork, sprayed edges, or signed bookplates. Each month’s listing will note if the book is exclusive or special in some way
Do You Feature Australian Authors Only?
Our priority is Aussie and NZ romance authors, but we may occasionally feature international titles that align with our readers’ tastes.
How does the subscription work?
Choose between a monthly, 6-month, or 12-month subscription. Your box is automatically shipped each month until you cancel.
Can I buy a one-off box instead of subscribing?
Yes! We offer one-off purchases when stock is available, but subscribers are guaranteed priority.
When do I get billed?
Subscriptions renew automatically on the same date each month. Prepaid plans are billed upfront.
What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
We Accept Major Credit/debit Cards, Paypal, and Other Secure Payment Methods. Payments are processed through the secure Stripe checkout.
Do You Charge in Local Currency?
YES! Aussie purchases are in AUD and New Zealand Purchases are in NZD
Where do you ship?
We ship Australia-wide and to New Zealand, with flat-rate shipping. We are working to get affordable international shipping.
When will my box arrive?
Boxes ship around the 10th of each month. Delivery times vary by location.
How much is shipping?
Flat-rate shipping across Australia $15 and New Zealand $20
Shipping is included in all subscriptions.
Can I track my order?
Yes! Once your box ships, you’ll receive tracking details via email. We ship via Aus Post and select couriers depending on your location.
Do You Offer Refunds?

We don’t provide refunds on boxes that have already been sent.
- If your box or item arrives damaged or incomplete, please contact us within 7 days and we’ll make it right.
We aim to provide you with items of the highest standard and quality. If you have received an item with a defect, please email our team at hello@nookbox.com.au as soon as possible so we can guide you through the returns process and help resolve the problem as swiftly as possible. Please contact our team by emailing us at the email listed above before shipping your package to us. If you ship an item to us for a return or exchange without contacting us first, we can’t guarantee that your request will be processed. Please note that we do not offer change of mind returns or exchanges.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Can I Cancel My Subscription?

If you’re on a monthly subscription, you can cancel anytime before your next billing date.

If you’re on a 6 or 12-month prepaid subscription, you can cancel once your term ends.
What If I Need to Cancel Early?
We understand life happens! If you need to cancel before the end of your term, please email us at hello@nookbox.com.au and we’ll help find the best option for you.
Can I Skip a Box?
Yes, you can skip boxes during your commitment period. Please note that skipping simply extends your subscription (e.g. if you skip one month on a 6-month plan, you’ll still receive six boxes in total, just over a longer time).
How Do I Manage or Cancel My Subscription?
You can log into your account anytime to update payment details, skip a box, or cancel your subscription.
Can I Give Nook Box As a Gift?
Absolutely! Choose the gift option at checkout and we’ll send the box directly to your recipient. You can also add a personalised note.
Do Gift Subscriptions Auto-renew?
No, gift subscriptions are prepaid and do not renew unless you choose to extend them.
